Ballistic SG1098-M365 AGF SG Series Case for LG E960/NEXUS 4 - 1 Pack - Retail Packaging - Black and Hot Pink

I had my LG E960 Nexus 4 phone in my pocket, equipped with this Ballistic Case, when my two year old took off running through a busy parking lot. While I was chasing him, my phone was slung out of my pocket, sent flying after it hit with my foot (or knee, kinda hard to remember!), and crashed into the rough concrete bouncy and sliding away. I thought for sure that my phone would be broken beyond repair after a fall like that! I picked it up dusted the slick case and screen off waiting to see how bad it was and WOW!!! NOTHING WAS WRONG!This case is extremely durable! It is equipped with bumpers on each corner which work quite well with the slick curved edges of the Nexus 4. When your phone takes a fall like mine did, those bumpers make all the difference! They absorb the shock of falling and disperse it away from your phone. Another thing that I really love about this case is they didn't just think about protecting the edges of your phone, they thought about the whole 360 degrees of your phone. The front of this case is raised perfectly to protect your screen but doesn't make it too bulky. This case was really easy to install and I love the double case aspect of it. The first layer is a slick but tough layer of rubber that is both durable and easy on your phone and the second is a hard plastic that helps to give the case better grip but also holds your whole case on perfectly clamping everything into place. This helps keep everything together, so that unlike many other hard cases, when you drop your phone the case stays on to protect and doesn't fly off.In my opinion I would buy Ballistic over Otter Box any day! Ballistic is Cost Efficient, Tough, and Durable! Ballistic cost way less than Otter box cases and are the ultimate protection for your phones! They fit well, feel good, glide easily in and out of pockets, and above all give you 360 degrees of protection. Don't waist your hard earned money and over pay, just buy a Ballistic Case!

I prefer my Nexus 4 naked. It looks nice and feels nice without some clunky case junking up the user experience. It's got a nasty habit of sliding off things with little encouragement and it's taken several 3- to 5-foot dives onto hardwood floors. However, it's never so much as suffered a scratch from this. I thought, "Man, I should consider getting a case of some kind for this." Then it slid a mere 16 inches off a stand onto a high quality hotel ceramic tile floor. The "smack" as it hit the tile sounded different and I could tell I wasn't going to like what I was about to see. I could barely look my Nexus 4 in the screen anymore. I know it felt it, too. It tried to carry on as best it could. Occasionally it would call out, a cry for me to answer it. But it could no longer respond to my touch and so we sat separated as I watched its remaining battery life slip away with every unanswered text.Then I got it fixed and it works great. Except now I was serious about a getting case. I specifically looked for reviews where someone had dropped their phone on concrete or tile and came out unscathed and this one made the short list.The Ballistic case seems quite protective. I know from experience that the N4 can survive drops as long as the surface isn't "hard". It seems to me that all the case has to do is dampen the shock from striking ceramic, etc. down to the level of "hardwood" or better. I'm fairly confident the slightly bouncy rubber edge can do that. The case's rubber lip creeps over the face to give some protection to face-first drops too (provided it falls on a flat surface).On the downside, the bulk is noticeable. I know that characteristic is intrinsic to the level of the protection offered, so I'm not criticizing the case for it. But, practically speaking, it doesn't work with my Anker wireless charger. It's also not exactly effortless to slide in and out of a front pants pocket. And the rubber bits pick up a lot of lint.Really, the charger thing is the only thing close to a deal breaker because I've become very accustomed to not having to plug in. So I'm going to try a slimmer alternative for daily use and hang onto the Ballistic for traveling.

Just like the otterbox series this is a bulky case with a soft rubber grip on the back. It does well at protecting the device but your going to have to trade of sleekness for protection (Sigh!!)The Pink is nice although the case doesn't give off a very premium finish. However the back of the case makes for an excellent grip and in the unfortunate incident it should fall from your hands, the case does a good job of protecting.. My phone has fallen a couple of times from the dinner table and has come out perfectly undamaged... not even a scratch.Its not the best looking cases like the Spigen and UAG for the S4 but it does its job well.
