Works as expected
I purchased this switch for my main bathroom fan. The bathroom is 13.5' long and 5 feet wide with an 8 foot ceiling. The switch is mounted at the opposite end of the bathroom from the bath and automatically turns on after a few minutes of the shower running. Alternatively it can be turned on manually. It automatically turns off after 30 minutes so the fan is never left on. So far it works perfectly.Installation is a breeze, however a neutral wire is needed (I assume to power the switch sensor). It came with a single gang cover however I installed it in a three gang box. The switch is about an inch deep and requires a bit of space in the box for installation. I have a low wattage Panasonic bathroom ban (40w) and the switch works flawlessly. I understand some timer switches do not work well with low wattage fans.Overall very happy with my purchase and would recommend to others for this application.

Worthless switch, even more worthless lack of customer service
I installed one of these switches in both of our kid's bathrooms. The result? We have two fans that cycle on and off constantly the entire day when no one is even going into the bathrooms. I have tried adjusting the humidity sensor multiple times including all the way up, all the way down, and just about every spot in between and it has NO affect on how often this fan decides to turn itself on. I have also made sure the minutes per hour timer switch is set to ZERO minutes, yet, the fan still cycles on at least 3-5 times an hour for several minutes at a time. I have tried in vain to contact Panasonic customer support about the issue. The only way to contact them I could find is a fillable form on one of their websites. I've submitted 3 contact requests over the past several months and have NEVER received a response. I love how quiet the Panasonic bathroom exhaust fans we have are but these switches are garbage. I thought I got a defective one but one was purchased here and the other from you big box home improvement store. The BOTH have the same issue of the fan constantly turning on and off with no activity in the restroom. Humidity level in the house are normal by the way. We have central AC and the windows are always closed so it's not happening because the house it too humid. These switches are awful. I wasted over $100 on two. Do yourself a favor and either buy a different brand, or, just buy the basic Panasonic timer switch (I think it has a minutes per hour timer too), that one actually works.

It works...
One thing that wasn't described clearly is the timer. After high humidity flips the switch, it will remain on for 30 minutes before it automatically shuts off. But you can manually shut it off. There is no way to adjust the sensitivity of the humidity sensor either. I installed in my master bathroom, it will trip on when I am nearly done showering, and I just let it run for a few minutes before hitting the off switch. A smaller room might trip the sensor sooner. If I were to purchase again I would look for one with an adjustable sensor.

Required by building code, and you should get one anyway for the convenience.
These humidity switches are convenient and automatically start and stop when needed to control humidity. The auto shut-off corrects for people who forget to turn off the fan by hand. Excess humidity can lead to moldy walls and rusty hinges. This kind of switch is now required for new bathroom projects. The switch looks good and fits into a standard switch box. The ones I bought have worked reliably for two years.

Touch of Luxury
I am using this switch in conjunction with Panasonic's fan. It's an excellent product. It turns on the fan when relative humidity rises and goes off once humidity returns to normal state. Usually I forget to turn it on before taking shower and usually it runs after I leave the bathroom. The point is - I don't have to control it manually. It's little luxury item that I do not regret purchasing and installing.Yes, if one has a need it can be run manually but it will go off after a period of time if not shut off before hand.

Garbage - absolute garbage
I’ve had this switch for more than a year and I’ve had enough. Even on the lowest moisture setting it randomly goes on and goes on frequently. It wakes me up at night, is super annoying, and is an absolute waste of conditioned air (heated and cooled). Panasonic should be ashamed to have their name on such garbage. If you think you might need this, just put a wire nut on the wires and leave the fan on all the time…. Kidding … I replaced it with the Leviton (older model) comparable one and that works fine. This is just the cheapest switch you could imagine, it even feels like trash. The installation is also annoying by having pigtails instead of terminals, so you end up with extra wire nuts in the box. Junk. 100% avoid.

It's not a cakewalk!
It's turning the fan on & off when pressing the switches, but I'm yet to see it come on automatically to remove condensation. It was a b+++h to connect due to the instructions which came with it and those I first received over the 'phone from Panasonic. My second callto Panasonic finally bore fruit,

This switch is the gold standard
I’ve been installing these for years in remodels of mine. The value is so high, particularly for landlords. The moisture sense ability is awesome and adjustable. And being able to set it to automatically run protects you from mold and other issues when folks don’t run the fan when they should.
