These work great. Hid all my different media boxes and everything works as if they're all right under my tv. If you are relocating your cable boxes to a closet just make sure to purchase a headphone jack extender. That is how the eye communicates to the box but it's only a 6' cord. I got the twenty foot cord and have my boxes in another room. It controls my cable box, Apple TV, and DVD player with no problem at all!!

installed the device and could not get it to work YET. Will keep trying, but may have to send it back.

Works better than expected, works even with my ATT cable. I have my stereo, DVD, and Cable all conected. The cables are long and the adhesive strong enough to hold on. Don't notice a delay, if there is one, it must be very slight. Plus it has a good recieving angle, meaning that the sensor picks up the remote from a greater angle than the tv does.

You must get close to the TV to make it work

I use these all of the time. I install home theaters. This IR repeater works more consistently then others at twice the this price. I keep a few in my van to solve others issues. You can add length to the sensor cord by simply getting a stereo headphone extension cord.

First of all, Radio Shack brick & mortar stores sell this for $30, not $60, so don't go paying $50 thinking you're getting a bargain, even if it is "free" shipping. So I got one at the store, brought it home and plugged it in. Didn't work. As I was taking it apart to take back to the store, I noticed the little red LED flashed on as I was pulling out the contact from the transformer cord. Plugged it back in, the LED flashed again, but remained off. Fiddled with the connection, no joy. Pulled it in and out, just about every time the LED flashed, but went off immediately, and the IR repeater function never worked. Took it back to the store. Nice clerk said "Oh, must be a bad transformer", opened another box, tried different transformer, exactly the same response -- flash of LED then dead. "Well, let's try the other unit." Plugged in the store's unit with the new transformer, same result!! Conclusion, based on 0-for-2, it's junk. My $30 was cheerfully refunded.

This is a must have item when you have a little baby or child who really want to touch your AV systems. You can close and lock the door and leave this one outside so you can able to control your AV systems. I have a Denon receiver, Sony Bluray, Apple TV, AT&T Uverse. Everything works fine without single problem
