Cotton Candy Machine with Cart Vortex Candy Maker with Stainless-Steel Pan, 2 Side Trays, and 13-inch Wheels by Great Northern Popcorn (Pink)

Before I go on about how "great!" this machine is, let me just give you a heads up on checking the condition of your package and the contents (EVEN IF the package is in good condition). The package arrived in perfect condition. As I got home and began putting it together I noticed the front legs were uneven. Upon further inspection I found that the Vortex itself looked as if it had been dropped and smushed in the corner about a 1/4 inch. This caused the uneven legs. Everything has since been replaced and tonight I made my first batch. DELICIOUS!!! Now on to the praise... The Vortex is my first cotton candy machine and I think it is MAGNIFICENT!! This thing is an eye-catcher. It is very sturdy, wonderfully crafted, and the colors POP! The motor runs smoothly (I thought it would be loud but it's not), it's easy to carry and maneuver, and cranks out floss at a speed I wasn't ready for. I will be definitely working on my cone spinning technique. A nicely spun cone is a skill I underestimated. I purchased the bubble dome separately and glad I did because there would be cotton all over my ceiling. Highly recommended if this is going to be done indoors. Plus the dome looks kinda cool. I plan on purchasing more of these in the future for my party rental company and possibly branch out to other concessions from Great Northern.

We never got to use it at all, got it to surprise my 9 year old. To my surprise it never got bast a little warm , then!!! It started to make noise and clunking sound, I wasn’t kidding when I told my kids to clear out and maybe even run away. Although I bought the popcorn machine from the same makers and it is just wonderful. This machine is badly put together, screws that don’t fit , bad detailing job ( makes it cheap in looks and handling) I hardly write reviews because I wish to be fair and not make anyone suffer (because things do happen) But it seems like altogether this assembly line and the people that put it together do it under cutting down in quality control and material quality. Maybe me too having such hard luck with this machine! But we are talking about a motor that spins at a high rate and high voltage. You would think they could be more professional when it comes to safety and company’s reputation.

Tested out the machine almost as soon as it arrived. It works great and makes very light and fluffy cotton candy. The warm up time is shorter than I expected -- and it stays hot longer than expected. Be careful and make sure that the inside of the sugar well has cooled off completely. The outside will cool off much faster but the inside might surprise you when you reach in there with a damp cloth. You'll only do that once though and it does clean up very well and easily. We haven't assembled the cart so we can store the machine easily, but we wanted to have the option of using it later. For now, it sets on a table just fine. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the color, but that pink is kind of a cotton candy thing for some reason, isn't it?

I have three small children who all have summer birthdays. I figured that a cotton candy machine would make a great addition to their parties. It's been a hit so far and was very easy to use. It heats up in minutes and only takes a few seconds to make each cone. As far as assembly, the holes didn't all line up quite right but I didn't have much trouble putting it together...and I tend to have trouble putting anything together. My item arrived in excellent shape with no dings, dents, or missing pieces. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase. Once piece of advice I have, though, is to get the plastic dome (which has to be purchased separately). It keeps the spinning floss inside the unit. Otherwise, I think you'd have a lot of cotton candy all over the floor!

I purchased this machine with high hopes. BIG LET DOWN! This is the second product I have purchased from amazon this month that did not work properly. The box was not damaged in shipping, so I figured it would be ok. However, after putting the machine together I realized the legs did not line up properly. I thought it was strange but waited for the bubble top to arrive a few days later. I FINALLY had a moment to plug in the machine to see how the motor ran etc once the bubble arrived... I shouldnt have been surprised but the machine makes a loud screaching sound when turned on. That being said, I was unable to run any sugar through the machine to even test how well it makes cotton candy! I am in the process of contacting the company to get a replacement and I will respond to this review with any new information.

I ordered this cotton candy machine for a carnival party I was throwing my daughter. We do own a very small version that my kids love but it takes about 10 minutes to make one full cone of cotton candy which I didn't think would work well for a party of 25. I look at renting a full-size machine but then thought what fun it would be to put this in our family/rec room along with the Great Northern popcorn machine I already have there. The carts for both are the same style so they look cute sitting next to each other. As for the cotton candy machine itself, as other reviewers noted, the machine arrived a bit bent. One of the 3 hinges or hooks on the outside of the motor was extremely bent but I bent it back to the shape of the other two. There is also a dent in the side of the motor that can't be fixed. The cart is fairly easy to assemble and I did so myself. Once turned on, the machine is fabulous. We could barely keep up with the cotton candy being thrown off. I purchased the suggested paper cones to use with it. The kids absolutely loved it. Husband not so much but oh well!! :) A good purchase!

Love my cotton candy machine works great my kids love it also. Only one thing when delivered there were some scatches and dents the screws came in box lose so there were screws missing so had to go out and purchase some at homedepot and got it together and working. Also when i used it the second time went to plug in the cord the plug that i would connect it to outlet broke well crack off the wall in the inside of machine so now when i go to use it again i have to hold it in place and plug it in manually but it still works so were looking into seeing if we can fix it somehow but all in all we love the machine any how.

This product arrived today. First the box was completely destroyed but there was only one dent in the bottom of the machine. If that was only problem I would not be returning it. It was missing parts for the wheel cart that comes with some models and then I looked inside. My machine had been used and probably returned before. But despite all this I figured I would try it out anyway. It wastes tons of sugar and I bought GM the best in floss sugar. It took 6 scopes to make one little small cone. The floss doesnt come out in large quantities more like small little pieces that fly away before you can catch them on your cone. Now again maybe its because the perticular unit is clearly damaged and has been returned before but It seems others have had this problem too. I watched video online of another model simularly priced, alittle more maybe, and It made an actual ribbon of cotton candy. So I decided to not wait on a replacement for this model because of time and just go with another manufacturer. If Only I would have scrolled down farther in the reviews I may have choosen differently. I planned on using at a school carnival of 120 kids. But It would take me all day to make 30 cones. And I tryed reusing the extra sugar it throughs out and all it did was smoke smoke smoke and again with little wisps. But If I just dumped floss from container into it it worked better but used a ton of floss to get that small cone. I dont believe with a dome it would improve its performance. But Hey it does make cotton candy just not like great northern states. But maybe its just my machine U be the judge of that. It seems others have had to return or replace this too. With sometimes better results sometimes worse. I would not recommend this especially if you are drawn by the cones per minute. Not true. The motor spins faster than it can heat the sugar hence you get tons of hard sugar on the bowl and not cotton candy. Hope this helps others looking into this model. Oh and the wheel cart doesnt align correctly with the machine so u either have to just leave those screws out or drill new ones. The cart does rattle a little. And only time it smokes other than the reuse is when u turn it off then tons of smoke. It seems that you need a temperature control knob for the heater and then it may work better but this is my first one so I'm not sure. I wish someone would have posted video of this product in use. Oh and its kinda loud when running and the cart rattle doesnt help. I am going to make a video and post here in a minute u can judge for yourself if you would return or keep.

Quise comprar la máquina de algodones Vortex de la marca The Northern Popcorn Company y me enviaron una totalmente diferente alegando que es el mismo modelo y que solo cambia la marca. Recibí la máquina Spin 2000, al momento de reclamar el error me pusieron muchas condiciones para la devolución que decidí quedármela. Me dijeron que me enviarían un regalo pero nunca llego. Marque para saber lo que había pasado y me comentaron que si me enviarían pero siempre y cuando comprara más con ellos. No cumplen con lo que dicen, no recomiendo comprar con ellos.

Acabo de recibir el paquete y no viene el cable conector, sin el la maquina no puede funcionar, les pido que me lo envíen a la brevedad. Gracias
